Food Vices Part VII of VII – Wrath

Well, this post wraps up my series on the Seven Deadly Sins of a Foodie!  It’s been a good exercise for me, and I hope, with all my heart, that for you the posts have been enjoyable and even perhaps, on some level, relatable reads 🙂

Wrath, where do I start with you?  I feel that you are the summation of the other “six” when it comes to how they affect my life.  At your core Wrath, you are the root of self-destructive behaviors, and all your partners in crime (Gluttony, Sloth, Envy, Pride, Lust, Greed) are self-destructive behaviors.  Right?  That’s a no-brainer.

So what virtue conquers you, Wrath?  Patience!  Patience beats Wrath (a new variation on Rock, Paper, Scissors?)  With Patience, I’ll find appropriate resolutions to my food related conflicts.  The key is to be patient with Patience… she takes her own sweet time!

I guess then the bottom line is this.  I’ll seek Patience and of course be mindful of her timeline.  After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day!  And neither will all my food vices vanish into thin air overnight.  It’s okay that, at times,  I suffer from my food vices, because as with just about anything, “this” too shall pass!

Food Vices Part VII of VII – Wrath… thanks for visiting Palatable Life.
