Chocolate Orange Truffles
When it comes to dessert, I often find they are really a waste of time and effort to make. Because the fact of the matter is that there just isn’t enough room let after a meal to truly enjoy it. That said, ending a wonderful meal on a sweet note appeals to my palate!
So the quandary is this… putting effort into anything terribly elaborate is, more often than not, a waste of time. Yet just a couple of bites of sweetness, easily made, is desired. The solution… Truffles!!!
Truffles are decadent bites of chocolatey goodness that are sure to delight your after dinner senses, not to over stuff and they are definitely easy to prepare!
The base recipe posted today comes from Ina Garten. Depending on your menu or mood, try swapping out the Grand Marnier in this recipe for Chambord or Frangelica — for what I believe will also be winning combinations. Next time I make them, I’m going with cinnamon and cayenne for a spicy kick.
Easy Peasy… thanks for visiting Palatable Life.
Be Inspired,
Diane
P.S. I’ve made a change to my recipe template that I hope you find user and printer friendly.
